Moments that marketers and SEOs should use in creating content

We turn to our devices for almost everything. Don’t know how to make pizza? Just Google the recipe. Need to find the nearest Ethiopian restaurant? Google it.

With such behavior, marketers and SEO professionals should create content based on the different intents of consumers.

Google puts it in 4 main categories:

I want to know

In this moment, the user wants to acquire new information. This is the research phase. So what kind of content can you create based on this moment? Let’s use our company, Jeder Agency, as an example. 

We provide SEO services. To cater to users at this moment, we would develop content that informs users of what SEO is and why it is essential for their business.

In terms of the buyer’s journey funnel, this is the awareness stage. 

I want to Go

I want to go focuses on location-based queries. A user wants to find the nearest bookshop or the best Ethiopian cuisine. 

To take advantage of such queries, make sure you utilize Google’s Google Business Profile tool to populate your location details.

I want to do

In this moment, the user wants to get more details on how to perform a certain task.

Best content idea for this? Create a ‘how-to’ content section. For example, how to develop an SEO strategy, how to rank my website on page 1 of Google.

I want to buy

Last but not least, a user would want to make a purchase. This is not new. Most of us have made online purchases. 

You want to ensure your products are easily found. How can you do this?

One, ensure you implement E-commerce SEO, and secondly, advertise or promote your products on Google Ads and social media platforms.  It does not matter how good your products are. They will not be found unless you promote them.
